Countdown to Mets Fantasy Camp 38 Days to Go...
Every year for the last 3 years as Spring gives way to Fall, Mets season merges into NY Rangers season, I have been able to keep the baseball side of my brain occupied with thoughts of Mets Fantasy Camp. This year more so then ever, in the past I have simply gone down to cover the week long camp as a reporter, this season I am headed down to actually participate as a player. Each year I have tried to find unique ways of counting down the days until camp and sharing them with Mets fans, So this year I will do the countdown by Jersey numbers, When possible I will post my 3 favorite Mets who have worn that number, some numbers are harder then others.

Vic Black
First and foremost Vic Black is a NY Rangers Fan so right off the bat that moves him to the top of the list. He has been a guest on WLIE 540am SPORTSTALKNY, he has embraced NYC and all that comes with, I think we are going to see great things out of Vic in the future so, he moves to the top of the 38's. Skip Lockwood
Just as I linked Dick Selma and Don Cardwell in my mind, I think I do the same with Skip Lockwood and Ron Herbal, Lockwood led the Mets in saves for 3 straight years , he was a very reliable pitcher on some pretty bad Mets teams, like Vic Black he was also a guest on WLIE 540am SPORTSTALKNY.on top of all that On top of that, his strat-o-matic card was nearly unhittable! Dave Mlicki
Started off the listing with a hockey reference so will end the list with the Hat Trick , Dave Mlicki is the 3rd NY Met that wore #38 that has appeared on WLIE 540am SPORTSTALKNY.
